Jon Brickner, owner and vintner of the Mile High Winery, has been vinting wine since a child thanks to his parents love of hand-crafting wine. The joys of winemaking became a full-time hobby for Jon in his early twenties. In 2004, he decided he wanted to mix is love for wine and passion for the mountains and opened up the Winter Park Winery in Fraser, Colorado.
Throughout the years, Jon has crafted his skills and added a lot more science to his art of wine making. Around 2010, Jon decided he wanted to expand his offerings and find a second location where he could share his passion with more people. Jon searched high and low, looking in Arizona, Oregon, Steamboat and other areas. Finally it hit them... "Why am I looking so far away, when one of the best cities is so close." Denver would be the new old home.
I'm excited to call RiNo my new stomping grounds, literally. The neighborhood mimics both their passions for the arts and is filled with great positive energy. The new tasting room as been designed to bring the flavor of the city, art and wine all into one very welcoming space. Jon would like to invite you to experience the magic.
The journey from grape to wine is part of the magical experience that keeps Jon doing what he does best. Vinting wine is more than a job, it is a passion. When art and science combine, a wine filled with flavor and love is born.
